For a long time the national team of Brazil were favourites to win the 2010 World Cup according to the majority of online sportsbooks out there. But it seems like there is a new sheriff in town as most of the sportsbooks are now favoring Spain to win the FIFA World Cup this summer. In the Expekt sportsbook they have now set the odds for Spain to lift the trophy at 5.00 while the odds for Brazil is at 6.00.

What amazes me when it comes to this World Cup is that there are so many people out there who think that England will perform will and might even win the 2010 World Cup. I can never see England lifting the trophy this year and I would be very surprised if they get past the semi-finals. Still, their odds is set to 6.50 at the moment which I wouldn’t touch unless someone held a gun to my head. The same goes for Italy, their odds is set at 14.00, probably due to the fact that they got an easy group in the initial stages. But honestly, who would event want Italy to win the World Cup? I can’t think of a more boring team to watch and hopefully they will go out after the group stages.
