Is Paul the Octopus Dead?
After Germany lost to Spain in the semi finals of the 2010 World Cup Paul the Oracle Octopus started receiving a lot of death threats. After that it wasn’t long until the blogosphere was flooded with spoof posts about Paul the Octopus being dead. All of those rumors were untrue and Paul the Octopus is still living well at the Sea Life Aquarium in Germany. According to most sources an octopus of Paul’s species will only live for 2-3 years which means that Paul is most likely going to be dead before the start of the Euro 2012, actually he will probably be gone before the start of the qualifying matches.
For those of you who came here looking for an answer to the question: “Is Paul the Octopus Dead?” we can inform you that as of 11th of August 2010 (time of writing) he is still very much alive. It seems he is being well taken care of over at the Sea Life Aquarium.
