Like many sportsbook sites, online sports betting, poker, bingo and casino company Unibet offers a lot of its online facilities to its members via mobile phone, as well as on their computers.

Unibet’s mobile betting platform allows you to place single bets or multiples up to trebles on major football leagues (the Premiership, Serie A, European Champions League etc) as well as racing, golf, ice hockey and tennis. It also allows you to access your pre existing Unibet account (you need to set this up on the website to be able to use the mobile service) and make live bets, plus view statistics and results.

Unibet’s mobile phone application works on most modern mobile handsets and devices, as long as Java MDP 2.0 is supported. It works over a GPRS connection or 3G – it is faster over 3G as with most transmissions.

To sign up for mobile betting from Unibet simply log in to your existing Unibet account and click the “Bet by Mobile” tab. The site will ask you to complete a short form with your mobile number in it, and once you have submitted this instructions will be sent with your phone, allowing you to download and install the application.

The service in itself is free to use, you will only be charged at the normal rate for using mobile internet by your network provider.

When you set up the service you will be asked to choose a PIN code. You will need to enter this every time you use the application. This is so that if your phone is lost or stolen nobody else can access your Unibet account information. Should your phone go missing, Unibet do recommend you change the PIN on the website in any case just as an extra security measure.

Whilst not as feature rich as some other mobile sportsbooks and without quite as many markets, this application is lightweight and simple, so great if you generally bet on the same markets and want a fast and easy to use product.
