Argentina -Brazil Match Preview
One of the most exciting games in the weekend is the clash between the two rivals in South America, Argentina and Brazil.
Argentina are fourth in the group, which is the last direct qualifying spot to the play-offs in South Africa. They are five points behind leaders Brazil, and is not even thinking about possibilities of defeat in Sundays important game.
“I’m only thinking of victory, I’m not considering defeat” says Argentina coach Diego Maradona.
The first meeting of the campaign between Brazil and Argentina ended in a goalless draw, but Maradona think this match will be different.
Maradona has added seven home based players for this squad including a first call up for Sebastian Dominguez. The other 6 includes Nicolas Otamendi, Emiliano Papa, Sebastian Battaglia, Eduardo Salvio, Mario Bolatti and Estudiantes star Juan Sebastian Veron.
Maradona think a win against Brazil will more or less qualify them for the South Africa playoffs and says:
“It will be as tough as all the matches we play against Brazil, but we beat them in illusion. We have the dream of playing the World Cup and we’ll be almost in if we beat Brazil.”
This game might be a real classic and is not a game you should miss for any reason, just look at the squad of the Brazilian team. Argentina feel ready though after coming from behind to beat Russia 3-2 in the last game played.
