Ivory Coast 2010 World Cup

Ivory CoastGroup G – Cote d’Ivoire’s Chances

Group G of the World Cup is going to be an extremely tough group this year. The five-time world champion Brazilian team will be the heavy favorites of this group. Portugal, North Korea and Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) round out the group with North Korea being the weakest link. It was shocking to even see North Korea make the group stage and they face the Brazilian powerhouse in their first match.

Portugal is the other favorite in this group with their loaded roster. Cristiano Ronaldo is a big contributing factor to what makes Portugal so dangerous. Brazil is no stranger to the World Cup finals and currently holds the Copa America and FIFA Confederations Cups. Cote d’Ivoire and North Korea are the underdogs, however, Cote d’Ivoire went undefeated in the preliminary rounds and was quite impressive in Germany 2006.
